Dealers in Mallorca sell pink jerseys with "Führer" inscription for 27 euros

Street vendors in Mallorca are hawking jerseys with Nazi symbols and the "Führer" inscription. Demand is high, the sellers report.
At Playa de Palma on the Spanish holiday island of Mallorca, street vendors still offer tourists all kinds of goods, even though this is actually forbidden and strictly controlled by the police.
Street vendors also offer Nazi jerseys. Demand for pink "Führer" jerseys is particularly high, the Mallorca-Zeitung reported, despite the high prices.
The street vendors charge 20 euros for a regular football jersey. 27 euros for the pink jersey with the initials "Führer" and the number 44, which looks like the SS in the font. "The sale is risky," one of the vendors told the "Mallorca-Zeitung."
In Spain, there is no specific legal ban on the sale of goods with Nazi symbolism, as there is in Germany, for example. This means that the sale of such items is not directly prohibited by national law.
In Germany, the sale of items bearing Nazi symbols is strictly regulated by the Criminal Code . In particular, the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations, which include Nazi symbols, is punishable under Section 86a of the Criminal Code (StGB). Anyone who "distributes," "uses publicly," or "uses in an assembly" such symbols can face a prison sentence of up to three years or a fine.
On the beaches of Gran Canaria, violations such as smoking, loud music, and beachcombing are punishable by fines of up to 500 euros. In Mallorca, it is no longer permitted to reserve sunbeds with towels. In addition, there are new bans on party tourists on Mallorca and Ibiza.
